Thread: If Todd had never made the decision to start making Action Figures....

The first KISS line was the first figures from McFarlane that I picked up, that got me started.

I bought them to ward off a very religious boss I had at the time, as the Gene was great for that with the Serpent on the staff.

I grabbed the second set, and left it as that once I changed jobs.

I came across Series 17 in a Spencers one day, and that kicked off the habit royally! Had to get that line, and then worked my way back to all that I was ale to get ahold of.

I think I am sitting at 95% of having each version of every Spawn figure.

MM and Movies I collect as they appeal.

It is kind of the reason that I keep getting the KISS figures.

I started the hobby with those, and it seems to make sense that I keep getting the lines.

I am not the biggest fan of KISS, but I always have to say that the figures are always well done.

I think I am only missing one of the lines from them, I need to check on that and see if I can pick them up some day.

Mega (or anyone else)....

Do any of you need the Gene Simmons fish tank?

You know, it's the one with the snake wrapped around the bass. I know I sold my Psycho Circus... I know I still have that fish tank... and I think I still have the first set with the letters.

Thanks for the info on that baimun. I am only sicking to the series line of figures. Like I said, I am not the biggest KISS fan.

I took a look and I am missing the Psyco Circus Tour set. Something to add to the list in the future if I come across it cheap!

Hopefully someone else will need it.

If anyone has invited Darth Pooh to the group - he might be one to take it off your hands as he is a major KISS fan.

I probably would have still gotten all the LotR movie figures. Though I didn't get into comics thrugh Spawn, I think I got into them through my toy collection. So I probably wouldn't have my DC Direct collection if McFarlane didn't exist. Assuming DCD would even had existed...

Nope, probably not. Well, maybe.

But the reason I started collecting figures was I was a HUGE McF fan from his Spider-man bout, then bought Spawn #1 when Image formed. When I heard about the toys, I of course bought them. Been hooked ever since, and it has grown considerably.

I was however, a huge GI Joe and Star Wars figure destructor back in my childhood. I'd say collector, as I had a ton, but they all prety much got blown up with firecrackers or melted in some way or another... (magnifying glasses rock).

Possibly, but to nowhere the degree that I collect now. In the years B.S.(Before Spawn)
I had a handful of Star Wars and Star Trek figures. When I bought the first Kiss line,
I just thought they were a novelty and paid NO attention to the maker. What really got me totally hooked was when somebody brought a
Michael Myers MMII into work. I went out to TRU
and found 'The Crow' and it was all over. Then I found Mandarin Spawn and Viper King..I went nuts over the fact that they were so cool and
affordable. I've only gotten into some other lines like LoTR, Marvel, and Art Asylum as a direct result of McFarlane raising the bar. That's why I get pissed at the McFarlane bashing on the "other board". Without McFarlane there would be no ****, Art Asylum, Mezco etc..and Toybiz would still be putting out the rudimentery figures they used to.
edit: YES, THE WORD IS BANNED!!!
